As Interlagos equals the Nurburgring for sixth on the list of most F1 races hosted, Ferrari power could reach 250 wins and Haas could equal their longest-ever scoring streak. Here are the milestones and the records which could be broken at the 2024 Sao Paulo Grand Prix!
THE 2024 SAO PAULO GRAND PRIX MILESTONES
The 2024 Sao Paulo Grand Prix will be the 1,122nd World Championship event in Formula 1 history.
This will be the 51st time that Formula 1 has raced in Brazil. The 2024 Sao Paulo Grand Prix will be the 41st World Championship Grand Prix to be held at Interlagos, seeing the track equal the Nurburgring as the venue to have hosted the sixth most World Championship events.
Max Verstappen makes his 205th consecutive Grand Prix start this weekend, equalling Nico Rosberg for third on the list of drivers who’ve made the most consecutive starts in Formula 1.
The 2024 Sao Paulo Grand Prix will be the sixth Formula 1 race to take place on November 3. This is the earliest date in the year on which the Interlagos race will take place since 2009.
Interlagos will host the fifth of this year’s six F1 Sprint events over the 2024 Sao Paulo Grand Prix weekend. Interlagos will become the first circuit to host four Sprint events.
FERRARI ON A ROLL
Ferrari have won the last two Grands Prix. Should they win the 2024 Sao Paulo Grand Prix it would be the first time that they’ve won three races in a row since the 2019 Belgian, Italian and Singapore Grands Prix.
A victory for a Ferrari-powered car would make this the 250th Grand Prix to be won by Ferrari power. Of the 249 wins for Ferrari power, only one has not been for a Ferrari car. The single exception is Sebastian Vettel’s victory for Toro Rosso at the 2008 Italian Grand Prix.
If Charles Leclerc wins one more race in the 2024 season, 2024 will become the season in which he has won the most Grands Prix. Leclerc matched his record for most wins in a year at the 2024 United States Grand Prix, taking his third victory of the season. He also won three races in 2022.

THE FORMULA 1 RECORDS WHICH COULD BE BROKEN

If any British driver leads the race from start to finish, this will become the 100th Grand Prix led from start to end by a British driver.
If Max Verstappen or Sergio Perez score a point over the 2024 Sao Paulo Grand Prix weekend, this would be Red Bull’s 65th consecutive points-scoring race. That would see them overtake McLaren for the second-longest scoring streak for a team in Formula 1.
A 1-2 finish for McLaren would mark the 50th 1-2 result in the team’s history. They would be only the third team – after Ferrari and Mercedes – to record 50 1-2 finishes.
If Max Verstappen leads every lap of the race, he will overtake Jim Clark for fourth in the list of most races led from start to end. It would be the 14th time he has done so in his career.
If Max Verstappen does not take pole position but does win the Grand Prix, he would become the fourth driver – after Michael Schumacher, Lewis Hamilton and Alain Prost – to have won 30 Grands Prix without starting from the front of the grid.
At the 2023 Belgian Grand Prix, Max Verstappen joined Fernando Alonso as only the second driver to have won races from nine different grid positions. Either driver could become the first to win from ten different grid positions, while Lewis Hamilton could equal the existing record.
A 1-2 finish for Mercedes would make them the second team, after Ferrari, to record 60 1-2 finishes in Formula 1. Ferrari reached the milestone at the 2002 United States Grand Prix.
If Nico Hulkenberg scores more than 14 points this weekend, Germany will become the second nation – after Britain – to have scored 8,000 points in Formula 1.
A Q1 exit this weekend for Lance Stroll would see him overtake Marcus Ericsson as the driver who has recorded the second most Q1 exits in Formula 1. It would be his 71st Q1 elimination.
