The average height of F1 drivers in 2025 is 178cm, with the grid’s combined height totalling 35.6m.

Yuki Tsunoda is the shortest driver on the 2025 Formula 1 grid, at 159cm. Tsunoda is the shortest driver to race in Formula 1 in the 21st century. The previous shortest driver this century was Anthony Davidson, who is 163cm tall.

The shortest team is Racing Bulls, with Isack Hadjar (167cm) and Yuki Tsunoda (159cm) being the two shortest drivers on the current grid. Racing Bulls’ driver line-up is 44cm shorter than the tallest line-up, at Haas.

The biggest difference in heights between team-mates in 2025 is at Mercedes, where George Russell – the third tallest driver on the grid – is 13cm taller than rookie Kimi Antonelli – the fourth shortest.
