Haas have become the first team to unveil their 2018 F1 car.
The team refer to the car as an ‘evolution’ of its predecessor. Speaking about their prospects for the 2018 season, Chairman Gene Haas said:
“We eliminated a lot of the variables where we knew we were weak. We’ve focused on what it’s going to take to get our car to be consistent and close that gap to the top teams.”
The team maintains their 2017 driver line-up of Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen for the 2018 season. Haas finished eighth in the 2017 F1 Constructors’ Championship, with 47 points – an eighteen point increase on their debut year. This year, they may come under increased pressure from Sauber, who will take the same spec engine as Haas.
