2024 BAHRAIN GRAND PRIX
For the second year in a row, Nico Hulkenberg reached Q3 and qualified tenth at the Bahrain Grand Prix. Having also reached Q3 at the 2023 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, this was Hulkenberg’s second consecutive Q3 appearance. It marked the first time he qualified in the top ten at two races in a row since the 2023 Canadian and Austrian Grands Prix.
Hulkenberg came home 16th in the 2024 Bahrain Grand Prix, losing six places from where he started. It was the most positions lost by a driver in the race.
2024 SAUDI ARABIAN GRAND PRIX
In his 150th start in car number 27, Nico Hulkenberg scored a point with a tenth place finish in the 2024 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. It made this the 100th Grand Prix weekend at which Hulkenberg has scored a point. He is the 19th driver to score points at 100 events. Making up five places, Hulkenberg gained the most places of any driver in the race.
This was the first Grand Prix in which Hulkenberg scored a point since the 2023 Australian Grand Prix – though he did score points in the Sprint at the 2023 Austrian Grand Prix. Hulkenberg’s point made 2024 the 34th consecutive season in which a German driver scored a point. Germany overtook France as the nation to have scored in the third most consecutive seasons as a result.
2024 AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX
Nico Hulkenberg recorded his first Q1 exit at Albert Park in qualifying for the 2024 Australian Grand Prix. 16th was his worst qualifying result in his 11 appearances at the Melbourne track. This was Haas’ first Q1 exit of the 2024 season.
Finishing ninth, Hulkenberg scored points for a second consecutive race. This was the first time he scored points in consecutive Grands Prix since the 2019 Mexican and United States Grands Prix – though he did score on consecutive appearances at the 70th Anniversary and Eifel Grands Prix in 2020.
For the second race in a row, Hulkenberg was the driver who gained the most positions. He made up seven places over the course of the race. Hulkenberg has scored points on all but one of his last eight Australian Grand Prix appearances.
2024 JAPANESE GRAND PRIX
Nico Hulkenberg finished the 2024 Japanese Grand Prix in 11th place, recording his best result at Suzuka since 2016. With team-mate Kevin Magnussen finishing 13th, this was only the second Grand Prix of the season, after Bahrain, in which neither Haas driver scored points.
2024 CHINESE GRAND PRIX
Nico Hulkenberg recorded his best qualifying result of the season so far with ninth place at the Chinese Grand Prix. This was his second Q3 appearance of the year, having last qualified in the top ten at the season-opener. This was Hulkenberg’s fifth consecutive Q3 appearance at the Chinese Grand Prix. Since 2013, 2015 is the only time that the German has not qualified in the top ten at Shanghai International Circuit. Hulkenberg equalled the Haas team’s best-ever qualifying result at the Chinese Grand Prix. Kevin Magnussen qualified ninth with the team for the last race at the track in 2019.
Hulkenberg finished tenth in the 2024 Chinese Grand Prix. This was his 208th race appearance without a victory, equalling Andrea de Cesaris at the top of the list of drivers who’ve started the most races without ever winning. This was the third time in the last four Grands Prix that Hulkenberg scored a point.
2024 MIAMI GRAND PRIX
Nico Hulkenberg made his third Q3 appearance of the season at the Miami Grand Prix. With ninth place, he equalled his best qualifying result of the season to date. 2024 MONACO GRAND PRIX
Qualifying 12th, Nico Hulkenberg missed out on Q3 for the first time in three races. After being disqualified from the Saturday result along with his team-mate for a technical compliance failure, Hulkenberg started the race from the pit lane.
On the opening lap, Hulkenberg was involved in a collision with team-mate Kevin Magnussen and Sergio Perez. As a result, Haas recorded their first double retirement since the 2022 Monaco Grand Prix. Haas had not recorded a single DNF in the 2024 season before the Monaco Grand Prix. The team has now recorded five retirements in the last three Monaco Grands Prix.
2024 CANADIAN GRAND PRIX

Nico Hulkenberg recorded his best qualifying result of the year so far with sixth place. The 2024 British Grand Prix marked his first top six qualifying result since qualifying on the front row at the 2023 Canadian Grand Prix. Sixth place is Haas’ best-ever qualifying result at Silverstone, beating their previous best of seventh recorded by Kevin Magnussen at the 2018 British Grand Prix. Hulkenberg’s Q3 appearance was the first for the Haas team at the British Grand Prix since 2018.
For the second race weekend in a row, Hulkenberg recorded a sixth place finish. This was the first time Hulkenberg has finished in the top six at consecutive events since the 2018 United States and Mexican Grands Prix. Hulkenberg’s sixth place is the best-ever result for Haas at the British Grand Prix. The team’s previous best result here was eighth place, recorded by Mick Schumacher in 2022. 2024 AZERBAIJAN GRAND PRIX

2024 SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX

It equalled his best qualifying result of the season, having also qualified sixth for the 2024 British Grand Prix. Hulkenberg has reached Q3 on all six occasions that he has appeared at the Singapore Grand Prix since 2016. Sixth place is Hulkenberg’s best qualifying result to date at Marina Bay Street Circuit. His previous best qualifying result here was seventh, in 2017. Hulkenberg equalled Haas’ best-ever qualifying result at the event. Kevin Magnussen qualified sixth last year.
Hulkenberg finished ninth in the 2024 Singapore Grand Prix, scoring his first points in a Grand Prix since finishing sixth in the British Grand Prix. Ninth place equalled Haas’ best-ever result at the Singapore Grand Prix. Romain Grosjean finished ninth with the team here in 2017.
2024 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX
Nico Hulkenberg recorded his fourth Q2 exit at COTA, equalling Daniil Kvyat for the most Q2 eliminations at the Texas track. Hulkenberg finished eighth in the race. Making this the fourth consecutive race in which Haas scored points. It’s the first time Haas scored points at four consecutive Grands Prix since scoring at six races in a row between the 2018 French and Belgian Grands Prix.
Hulkenberg’s eighth place was his – and the Haas team’s – best result since finishing sixth in the 2024 British Grand Prix. It was also Haas’ best-ever result at their home race.
2024 MEXICO CITY GRAND PRIX
Prior to the 2024 Mexico City Grand Prix weekend, Haas had never seen one of their cars reach Q3 in Mexico. That changed in 2024, as both Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg qualified in the top ten. Hulkenberg reached Q3 in Mexico for the first time since 2018.
Finishing ninth, Hulkenberg scored points for the third Grand Prix weekend in a row. Hulkenberg has scored points on all but two of his seven appearances in Mexico. With both Magnussen and Hulkenberg scoring, this was Haas’ first double points-scoring Grand Prix since the 2024 Austrian Grand Prix. This was also Haas’ fifth points-scoring race in a row – the team’s longest streak since 2018. This was the first time Haas scored any points in Mexico since 2017, as well as the first time that the team have seen both drivers finish in the points here.
2024 SAO PAULO GRAND PRIX
Nico Hulkenberg qualified only 19th for the 2024 Sao Paulo Grand Prix. He equalled his worst qualifying result of the season to date, having also qualified 19th for the Canadian Grand Prix. This was Hulkenberg’s first-ever Q1 exit at Interlagos and only the second time, after 2019, that he was out-qualified by a team-mate here.
2017 remains the last time that Hulkenberg scored a point in a Grand Prix at Interlagos. After going off track, Hulkenberg received outside assistance on his way to re-joining the race. As a result of the assistance, Hulkenberg was shown the black flag and disqualified from the race. He was the first driver to be disqualified during a Grand Prix since the 2007 Canadian Grand Prix, when both Felipe Massa and Giancarlo Fisichella were shown the black for exiting the pits under a red light.
This was the second time, after the 2019 Japanese Grand Prix, that Hulkenberg has been disqualified from the race. He is the 29th different driver to record multiple DSQs during his career. Lewis Hamilton is the only other current driver with more than one disqualification.
2024 LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX

This was the first time a Haas driver scored points in Las Vegas.
2024 QATAR GRAND PRIX
Nico Hulkenberg recorded his second Q1 exit in the last three races. Hulkenberg ended his Sunday evening in the gravel, recording his second DNF of the season – his first since the Monaco Grand Prix. 2024 ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX
Nico Hulkenberg made his final start with Haas at the 2024 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix before moving to Sauber in 2025. For the seventh time in his last seven appearances at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Hulkenberg qualified in the top ten. Hulkenberg qualified fourth, qualifying in the top four for the first time since the 2023 Canadian Grand Prix – though a three-place grid penalty dropped him to seventh in the final starting order. This was the first time Hulkenberg qualified in the top five for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Hulkenberg’s fourth place also marked the first time that a Haas driver qualified in the top six for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Hulkenberg finished eighth in the 2024 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, scoring points for the fifth time in the last seven Grands Prix. This was the first time since 2017 that Hulkenberg scored a point at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and marked the first time a Haas driver finished in the points in Abu Dhabi since both drivers did so in 2018.
