Who has started the most F1 races with Red Bull?

At the 2022 French Grand Prix, Max Verstappen became the driver to have started the most F1 races with Red Bull. Who else has started the most races with the team? We take a look!

167 – Max Verstappen

Max Verstappen set a new record for most F1 races with Red Bull at the 2022 French Grand Prix. The Circuit Paul Ricard race marked Verstappen’s 130th start with the team, overtaking Mark Webber’s former record tally.

Verstappen made his first appearance with Red Bull at the 2016 Spanish Grand Prix, taking his maiden victory on his first outing with the team. Verstappen has since gone on to record a further 57 wins at Red Bull as of the 2024 Chinese Grand Prix, securing three World Championship titles along the way.

Verstappen has signed a contract to remain at Red Bull until the end of the 2028 season. If he does so, he will likely break the record for most appearances with a single team.

129 – Mark Webber

Mark Webber held the outright record for most race starts with Red Bull since overtaking David Coulthard’s tally at the 2011 Australian Grand Prix. Webber made 129 starts in total with the team, his first coming at his home race in 2007. The popular Australian called time on his F1 career after the 2013 Brazilian Grand Prix. He secured all of his nine Grand Prix victories during his time at the team.

113 – Sebastian Vettel

Until 2021, Sebastian Vettel was the only Red Bull driver to win the World Championship. He did so four times, securing the title honours in each season between 2010 and 2013. Vettel remains the team’s most successful driver, having taken 38 wins over his 113 starts. That includes a record run of nine consecutive victories at the end of the 2013 season. Vettel joined the team at the 2009 Australian Grand Prix and left following the 2014 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

100 – Daniel Ricciardo

Daniel Ricciardo made a round 100 appearances with Red Bull over his five seasons with the team. Making his debut with Red Bull on home soil in 2014, Ricciardo took the first three victories of his career that season and would secure four more over his next four years. Ricciardo departed Red Bull to join Renault after the 2018 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

71 – David Coulthard

David Coulthard was Red Bull’s star driver when the team first joined the sport. Coulthard headed from McLaren to join Red Bull ahead of the 2005 Australian Grand Prix. He went on to take the team’s first F1 podium at the 2006 Monaco Grand Prix and took the final podium of his career at the 2008 Canadian Grand Prix. Coulthard made 71 starts in total at Red Bull, retiring from the sport after the 2008 Brazilian Grand Prix.

71 – Sergio Perez

Red Bull’s latest recruit already sits sixth in the list of most F1 starts with Red Bull – and is set to overtake David Coulthard for fifth at the 2024 Miami Grand Prix.

Sergio Perez made his first appearance with Red Bull at the 2021 Bahrain Grand Prix and, up to the 2024 Chinese Grand Prix, has made 71 total appearances with the team. The Mexican has picked up five wins so far during his time at Red Bull, taking the honours at the 2021 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, the 2022 Monaco and Singapore Grands Prix and the 2023 Saudi Arabian and Azerbaijan Grands Prix.
