CORRECT ANSWER: PIERRE GASLY
Charles Leclerc was having a brilliant weekend until a botched pit-stop forced him out of another points finish. Pierre Gasly had the best on-track finishing position of the rookies, even though a post-race penalty dropped him from tenth to thirteenth. Sergey Sirotkin was the only other rookie to finish the race.

Five of the top six drivers finished the race. It was only Max Verstappen who was forced to retire from the race. Brake issues forced him into retirement after 46 laps.

As 51% of you correctly predicted, Alonso scored McLaren’s only points at the British Grand Prix. The Spaniard finished eighth, though he felt there was enough pace in the car to have finished sixth.

It was a close poll, but the majority of you were correct. Despite some first lap controversy, Kimi Raikkonen finished on the podium. It’s the first time he’s finished in the top three at the British Grand Prix in consecutive years since 2006 and 2007.
