It wasn’t a weekend to remember for the home race trio. As just 8% of you predicted, none of them scored a point. Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly were out on the first lap after colliding with each other, while Romain Grosjean missed out on scoring his first point of the season by just thirteen seconds after finishing in eleventh place.

Mercedes were comfortably quickest in Q3 on Saturday, with Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas making it the second front-row lock-out of the season for the defending champions. Hamilton snatched pole from his team-mate by 0.118 seconds.

Was this the weekend where Charles Leclerc stepped forward as Ferrari’s best option for 2019? The Monegasque driver managed to reach Q3 for the first time in his career, starting from a fantastic eighth on the grid. He even overtook the Ferrari of Kimi Raikkonen on the first lap before settling for tenth by the chequered flag and, as 66% of you predicted, scoring a point.

CORRECT ANSWER: CARLOS SAINZ
Carlos Sainz recorded his best qualifying of his Renault career so far with seventh on the grid, while Nico Hulkenberg started from twelfth. By the end of the race, both drivers were in the points and, despite struggling with power issues, Sainz remained ahead by four seconds.
