YOUR PREDICTION: HE’LL TAKE POLE AND WIN
CORRECT ANSWER: HE’LL TAKE POLE, NO WIN
Just 10% of you predicted the correct outcome to this question. Sebastian Vettel took pole by over two tenths of a second on Saturday, but crashed out of the Grand Prix on a damp track. The accident saw Vettel take a big hit in the Drivers’ Championship as Lewis Hamilton retook the lead.
2. How much faster will the 2018 pole time be than the 2016 pole time?

YOUR PREDICTION: BETWEEN 1.251 and 1.750 SECONDS
CORRECT ANSWER: OVER 1.751 SECONDS
We expected there to be a big leap between the pole time from two years ago and the 2018 pole lap. The actual gap was a whopping 3.151 seconds! The difference shows how much the cars have changed over the past two seasons.

YOUR PREDICTION: HAAS
CORRECT ANSWER: FORCE INDIA
Just 24% of you backed Force India to take the most points this weekend. They were the only one of these teams who finished with both drivers in the top ten, taking ten points and moving level with McLaren in the championship. Romain Grosjean scored eight points for Haas, while McLaren failed to score.

CORRECT ANSWER: 4th, 5th or 6th
The majority of you were correct with this one. Red Bull looked quick in Friday Practice but lacked the pace to challenge Mercedes and Ferrari in Qualifying and the Grand Prix. Daniel Ricciardo retired from the race with engine issues while Max Verstappen came home in fourth place.

YOUR PREDICTION: NO
CORRECT ANSWER: YES
After Lewis Hamilton announced a new contract on Thursday, Valtteri Bottas followed suit the day after as Mercedes announced one-year extension to his Mercedes contract. That was it for announcements over the weekend, but the rumour mill certainly kept producing more interesting theories!
