YOUR PREDICTION: YES
CORRECT ANSWER: YES
Starting sixth, Lewis Hamilton went on to win the 2020 Turkish Grand Prix, securing his seventh World Championship. Title rival and team-mate Valtteri Bottas finished only fourteenth, spinning six times in total during the race. With both titles now decided, the 2020 season will be the first since 2015 to feature three ‘dead rubber’ races.
2. WHICH TEAM WILL QUALIFY FOURTH?
2. Which team will qualify in fourth place for the #TurkishGP?#LightsOutF1Predictions #F1
— Lights Out ●●●●● (@LightsOutF1Blog) November 12, 2020
YOUR PREDICTION: ANOTHER TEAM
CORRECT ANSWER: RED BULL
Almost a third of you thought a team other than Red Bull, McLaren or Racing Point would qualify in fourth place for the 2020 Turkish Grand Prix. It was a mixed up qualifying session, which saw Alex Albon equal his best-ever qualifying result with fourth place. Only 11% predicted Red Bull would line up fourth on the grid.
3. WHERE WILL GASLY FINISH?
3. Where will Pierre Gasly finish in the #TurkishGP?#LightsOutF1Predictions #F1
— Lights Out ●●●●● (@LightsOutF1Blog) November 12, 2020
YOUR PREDICTION: 7TH OR 8TH
CORRECT ANSWER: 13TH
AlphaTauri failed to score at the Turkish Grand Prix, with Daniil Kvyat finishing ahead of Pierre Gasly. Gasly qualified only fifteenth and was demoted to the back of the grid following a penalty. He finished the race in thirteenth place. Only 5.9% of you expected the Frenchman to not score.
4. WHERE WILL THE BEST PLACED RENAULT FINISH?
4. Where will the best placed Renault driver finish the #TurkishGP?#LightsOutF1Predictions #F1
— Lights Out ●●●●● (@LightsOutF1Blog) November 12, 2020
YOUR PREDICTION: 4TH OR 5TH
CORRECT ANSWER: 10TH
Renault scored only a single point in the Turkish Grand Prix. That was thanks to Daniel Ricciardo finishing in tenth. Only 5.8% of you expected the best-placed Renault driver to finish outside of the top seven. The team is now sixth in the Constructors’ Championship, eighteen points behind third placed Racing Point.
5. HOW MANY DRIVERS WILL BE OUT IN THE FIRST 10 LAPS?
5. How many drivers will retire in the first 10 laps of the #TurkishGP?#LightsOutF1Predictions #F1
— Lights Out ●●●●● (@LightsOutF1Blog) November 12, 2020
YOUR PREDICTION: 2
CORRECT ANSWER: 0
A slippery track surface and wet conditions would surely result in carnage in the opening laps of the Turkish Grand Prix – but no drivers retired in the first ten laps of the race. The first retirement was for Antonio Giovinazzi, who was out on the twelfth lap.
