1. WHO WILL WIN THE RACE?

YOUR PREDICTION: MAX VERSTAPPEN

CORRECT ANSWER: LEWIS HAMILTON

Though more people predicted a victory for Max Verstappen this weekend, it was Lewis Hamilton who emerged as the winner in Portugal. Hamilton led home the Red Bull driver by almost thirty seconds, after Verstappen made a late-race pit stop in a bid for the Fastest Lap.

2. WHERE WILL McLAREN QUALIFY?

YOUR PREDICTION: 4TH

CORRECT ANSWER: 5TH OR LOWER

For the first time in 2021, neither McLaren driver qualified in the top six at the Portuguese Grand Prix. While Lando Norris reached Q3 and qualified in seventh place for a third consecutive race, Daniel Ricciardo was eliminated in Q1 and qualified only sixteenth.

3. WHAT WILL THE GAP BE BETWEEN THE TOP FOUR ON THE GRID?

YOUR PREDICTION: LESS THAN 0.300s

CORRECT ANSWER: MORE THAN 0.500s

After the field was spread by a small margin at the 2021 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, the top four were more spread out in Q3 at the Portuguese Grand Prix. The gap from Valtteri Bottas’ time for pole position to Sergio Perez’s lap for fourth on the grid was 0.542s.

4. HOW MANY POINTS WILL HAAS, ALFA ROMEO AND WILLIAMS SCORE?

YOUR PREDICTION: 1 POINT

CORRECT ANSWER: 0 POINTS

Though George Russell started eleventh and Antonio Giovinazzi started twelfth, none of the three teams listed above were able to score a point in the Portuguese Grand Prix. Giovinazzi recorded the best result, finishing in twelfth place – around ten seconds away from scoring a point.

5. HOW MANY CARS WILL FINISH THE RACE?

YOUR PREDICTION: 17 OR 18

CORRECT ANSWER: 19 OR 20

Kimi Raikkonen was the only driver to retire from the 2021 Portuguese Grand Prix. He was out at the end of Lap 1 following a collision with his Alfa Romeo team-mate Antonio Giovinazzi.
